 | Alb Klein Ohio Raw Sewage is an excellent example of a material that is best handled by AKO pinch valves because it can be viscous, contain a high percentage of solids and grit as well as any number of chemical compounds and VOC's. Valves used to control the flow of raw sewage must be able to handle the corrosive attack of chemicals, must contain odors effectively, must not present any obstructions where material can collect and must be able to pass the maximum flow allowed by the pipeline without restriction. AKO pinch valves satisfy all of these requirements by using a 100% full-port elastomer sleeve. This sleeve is the only wetted part of the valve and acts just like another piece of pipe when in the open position. The sleeve eliminates the need for packing and seals, and is the only replacement part. |

The advantage that peristaltic pumps provide is that there are no internal valves, mechanical seals or other mechanisms within the pump to wear or maintain.
