Industrial Fluid Handling Products for the Wastewater Treatment Industry

Technical Products and Services, Inc. has specialized in the application and sales of industrial fluid handling products for more than 25 years.  Our complimentary product offering and consultive selling methodology ensures a cost effective solution for even the most complex applications.  In addition to being expert field agents for the product lines we represent, the manufacturers we've chosen to work with are leaders in their respective industries.  We tie the resources of all these companies together to provide a single source, systems oriented solution to your application.

Lechler is one of the worlds oldest and largest industrial spray nozzle and systems manufacturers.  Their Wastewater Treatment Division is dedicated solely to the proper selection and application of engineered spray nozzles and showers for wastewater treatment plants such as belt filter press washing, weir washing, foam control and waste incineration (injection).

With thirty plus years of proven performance and reliability in the toughest industrial equipment, process and metering applications, these pumps are the undisputed pump of choice for trouble-free operation where other pumps simply cannot survive.  In the water treatment industry EPM Series pumps are utilized for a wide range of metering and dosing applications such as sodium hypochlorite pumping. EPM's higher speeds eliminates out gassing and when used in conjunction with the C80 air bleed priming valve start-ups are reliable.  These pumps provide precise, steady-state accuracy of ±1%, repeatability to 3% or better, linearity to 3% or better and a 10:1 turndown ratio with smooth, virtually pulse-free flow.  Compared to other simplex, duplex and triplex metering pumps EPM pumps cost significantly less. EPM pumps operate at flow rates to 2,100 GPH and pressures to 2,500 PSI and can run dry without damage.

Sonic Air Systems manufactures high velocity blower systems for aeration, supplying the deficient oxygen, rescuing the free carbon dioxide and eliminating much of the hydrogen sulfide and other odorous constituents present in wastewater. Aeration is also an important part of the process to remove iron and manganese by converting them to higher insoluble oxides which are in turn removed by subsequent sedimentation, straining or filtration. The cost of compressed air is very expensive and as a result the ROI for most sonic systems is within 6 months.  We can provide an onsite demonstration of our capabilities and will personally evaluate your application, resulting in a detailed proposal complete with Performance Guarantee.

Raw Sewage is an excellent example of a material that is best handled by AKO pinch valves because it can be viscous, contain a high percentage of solids and grit as well as any number of chemical compounds and VOC's.  Valves used to control the flow of raw sewage must be able to handle the corrosive attack of chemicals, must contain odors effectively, must not present any obstructions where material can collect and must be able to pass the maximum flow allowed by the pipeline without restriction.

AKO pinch valves satisfy all of these requirements by using a 100% full-port elastomer sleeve.  This sleeve is the only wetted part of the valve and acts just like another piece of pipe when in the open position. The sleeve eliminates the need for packing and seals, and is the only replacement part.
Vector Pumps are roller actuated peristaltic hose pumps and are used primarily for transfer of viscous fluids that contain a high percentage of solids and grit as well as any number of chemical compounds.  The advantage that peristaltic pumps provide is that there are no internal valves, mechanical seals or other mechanisms within the pump to wear or maintain.   They are more efficient to operate than air operated diaphragm pumps and offer some additional flexibility in many applications.  These are typically operated with a standard electric motor, gear reduced and controlled via a variable frequency drive for precise flow control.  Vector Pumps have excellent suction lift capabilities and maintenance is typically limited to just a few hose changes per year. The flow through them is reversible for easy cleaning, or filling and emptying tanks.

Factory Direct Pipeline Products Inc. is the largest online wholesaler of industrial strainers and filtration equipment with over
500 types of strainers and filters with more than 800 filter bags and strainer baskets to choose from.  In wastewater treatment plants this equipment is typically used as suction strainers to protect pumps from particles in treated wastewater.  Automatic strainers provide a cost effective way of continuously removing particles from water with minimal maintenance or interaction.  Overall automatic strainers contribute to a cleaner, safer working environment.
