Spray Nozzles for Tank and Vessel Washing Applications
LECHLER, INC. UNVEILS UNIQUE TANK WASHING MACHINE
TO FILL MARKET NICHE FOR MEDIUM-SIZED FLUID APPLICATIONS
Lechler, Inc., a leader in fluid application engineering, introduces a completely new tank washing machine to fill the gap between larger gear-driven units and free spinning products. Marketed for food, beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical production, the ACCU-Clean features higher pressure with slow rotation to produce the highest impact and greatest cleaning power for its size. The cost-effective, compact tank washing machine was designed by Lechler to offer the features of larger, more expensive units in a smaller, cost effective package.

The ACCU-Clean operates from 30 to 150 psi and features a positive drive mechanism for even rotation. The new tank washing unit by Lechler utilizes an internal turbine and simple drive train to turn the head and provide positive rotation that is controlled and steady. With only three moving parts held in place by sophisticated plastic bearings, the drive train is a simpler design than more complicated gear-driven designs. The slow rotation allows the spray to dwell longer at each point in the rotation rather than more frequent short bursts.
As part of the 1999 ACCU-Clean introduction, Lechler is offering free service, including all wear parts, for one year from the purchase date.
"There has been a need in the marketplace for a tank washing unit that can handle medium-sized fluid applications," explains Karen Berker, manager, General Team, Lechler, Inc. "The ACCU-Clean answers this call by providing manufacturers with a cost-effective, highly-productive design for tank washing."
Berker explains that the ACCU-Clean will not handle a 60-foot tank car, but it could used in situations where traditional gear-driven machines are an overkill or too expensive. In addition, for customers who have found that standard free spinning nozzles aren't performing to their expectations, the ACCU-Clean works better but still uses similar amounts of cleaning fluid. This new tank-washing unit has a medium flow rate that falls between the popular Whirling and Gyro tank washing products manufactured by Lechler.
Lechler, Inc., a member of the Lechler Group, is a manufacturer of customized fluid applications systems and precision spray nozzles. With U.S. operations based in St. Charles, Ill., Lechler's products are utilized in a variety of different applications and industries including steel and primary metals, environmental controls, manufacturing, and food/beverage/pharmaceutical processing.
