Gas Cooling Spraying Systems Inquiry Worksheet

Fill-out the following form "on-line" and we'll be in touch a few days after receiving your inquiry with recommendations.  We can provide you with suggested nozzle design, positioning and even minimal vessel dimensions required to handle the required gas flow.  Just fill in as much of the following information below as possible.  You can also open the PDF version for printing and faxing to our office by clicking here.

SUPERSONIC GAS COOLING & CONDITIONING SYSTEMS

Two Fluid (Air Atomizing) Spray Nozzles and Lances

Typical Applications: SOx and NOx Reduction, Lime Slurry & Carbon Slurry Atomization at Waste-to-Energy Plants, Cement Plants and smaller Industrial Coal Fired Power Plants

Pictured to the left is a typical Supersonic Nozzle Gas Conditioning Lance.   Orientation of the spray head, the number of spray heads and reach into the vessel are all customized to satisfy your application's requirements.

These nozzle systems usually use compressed air for atomization, however we also offer models that use steam for atomization.  They're also good for atomizing slurries and other solids laden fluids for gas conditioning.

Single Fluid (Hydraulic Atomization) Spray Lances

Typical Applications: Gas Cooling prior to a bag house so that less expensive bags can be used.  Primarily used for cooling gas streams of varying volume and temperature due to its' ability to provide a constant droplet size with a 10:1+ flow rate turndown ratio.  Cement Plants and small industrial power plants are typical user of this technology.

The picture to the left is a cutaway view of a Spillback nozzle lance.  This system doesn't require atomizing air, rather it requires high pressure (typical 500-700 PSI) centrifugal pumps.  As with the Supersonic Nozzle Lances, the orientation of the spray head, the number of spray heads and reach into the vessel are all customized to satisfy your application's requirements.

Spillback nozzle lances  are used primarily for gas cooling applications where the gas volume and temperature fluctuates.

Both systems provide their users with as much as a 10:1 turn-down ratio.  This means that they're designed to provide a consistent droplet size from 10% to 100% of their flow capacity.  The ability to maintain droplet size provides for consistent heat transfer and gas conditioning.

You can print and fax the form below or just submit it "on-line" for a no-obligation evaluation of your nozzle requirements.   Within a few days after receiving your inquiry we'll contact you with recommendations.
