Customizable Pressure Gauges, From Pointers to Dial Design
|
| The pointer is also an important part of the pressure gauge. The fineness of the tip of the pointer and how it is connected to the gearing mechanism make a difference. The pointer pictured above has a light weight balanced construction with Micrometer adjustment feature. Over time the Bourdon Tube may retain a little "memory", resulting in a gauge that does not return to zero. See the gearing by the green arrow? That allows for fine adjustment and re-calibration of the pointer - extending the useful life of the gauge. |
| This is an example of an "upside-down" gauge. This gauge has been calibrated and designed for orthopedic surgery. Prior to using this gauge, someone would manually hold bags of fluid at different heights depending upon the pressure required. Using gauges has improved the accuracy of this surgical process and has eliminated dangerous variables. |
